I want to continue to represent our neighborhood and ADVOCATE FOR WARD 3 WITH A LOCAL VOICE ON LOCAL ISSUES.

I've been serving and supporting Waltham in youth athletics, public health, education and schools, and community events. Now I want to represent our neighborhood and city. I ask for your support and your vote in the upcoming Ward 3 city council election.

OPEN SPACE & PARKS

Ward 3 is flush with open space that is not always prioritized or used properly. Some has been left unused or abandoned. I'll protect these parcels, work for conservation easements and restrictions and work to keep Hardy Pond clean.

CONSTITUENT SERVICE

I've spent the better part of my adult life involved in community and youth organizations. As the Ward 3 City Councillor, I will be responsive, responsible and accountable and will communicate quickly and often so people stay informed.

NEIGHBORHOODS

Two large developments in Lexington are infringing on our homes in Ward 3. The Lexington solar farm was recently approved and construction will be disruptive. Zoning impacts are also on the horizon. I'll be out in front of these to protect our properties and keep the character of single-family neighborhoods intact.

LOW TAXES

Waltham is the envy of all of our surrounding neighbors. Our property values should increase while taxes stay low and flat. I'm a homeowner and taxpayer and will work to keep our residential taxes low while improving our quality of life. I'll also work with local businesses to help them thrive.

PUBLIC SAFETY & TRAFFIC

The Trapelo Road corridor is busy and I will be a city councillor who will work with families and the city to improve public safety. Every child and adult should feel safe riding their bike or walking around their neighborhood or street.

TRANSPARENCY, ACCESS AND TECHNOLOGY

I'll work at increasing transparency and use my information technology experience to improve government access and services. I've served on our board of health for 17 years and want to continue to serve as your Ward 3 Councillor.

Bill Hanley, city council, ward 3
